Tom Reich, Managing Director

As Managing Director, Tom is responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and direction of the business.

Tom communicates a clear vision and his open, collaborative management style creates a rewarding work environment for employees.  Through his leadership, Focus has developed a customer-centric culture that excels in service delivery outcomes.

Tom has over 22 years experience in the IT industry with 20 years in the Business Intelligence and Information management sector having first started the US operations for Business Objects in 1991.  He was a Senior Account Executive for Cognos (Australia), before founding Focus in 2003. Tom also has extensive experience growing and managing consulting service organisations and software resellers - with general manager roles at two other Australian based companies.

Most importantly, Tom brings to Focus a mature and professional approach to customer relationships and employee development.

Trevor Aikin, Professional Services Manager

Trevor is responsible for service delivery operations, the professional development of individual consultants and growth of the overall the Focus services team.

As Focus' Professional Services Manager, Trevor brings to Focus extensive experience managing professional teams to develop, implement and support software solutions.  With over 20 years specialising in BI, CPM and IM solutions, including the last 12 years, as a professional services manager with national and Asia Pacific responsibilities, Trevor has developed exceptional domain knowledge -  technical knowledge, SDLC knowledge, business knowledge, people management, project management and the development of customer relationships.  He strongly believes in open client-supplier relationships, with proactive communications to ensure 'no surprises'.

Trevor's early experience was implementing Business Intelligence solutions and Planning & Budgeting solutions in the late 1980s as a Senior Consultant for Econsult.  Over the subsequent two decades, Trevor continued to lead teams of specialists to deliver solutions across all industry sectors.  As Consulting Services Director for CorVu, he was also closely involved in innovative software development for the evolving BI and CPM markets.

Trevor is acutely aware of the business value of these solutions to organisations. He is equally aware of the solution development and deployment challenges that organisations can face, and he applies his extensive experience to support Focus' team of service delivery professionals.
